Closed Captioning makes it so people can read your lyrics while consuming your video content. If you decide to submit your music video to a TV network, they require it, before it can be aired–by law.

A few things you’ll need when submitting your music video to this company are:

  • a typed up version of your lyrics (highlight the explicit lyrics)
  • your music video
  • for special instructions, ask Vydia “Please Close Caption my video and send me a copy as well. Thank you.”

In 5-7 business days, they’ll send you your video back. They’ll send you a copy of your encoded video (the clean version) and the .scc file.

If your video is one you’ve already uploaded to YouTube, then there’s no need to re-upload the video. You can simply go to your existing video and add the .scc file to it. Here’s how to do that part.
